Group Puppy Training

Puppy Group Classes

We recommend a combination of 1-2-1 training and puppy group classes to give your new puppy the best start in life. This class is for puppies of up to six months, and committed puppy owners who want to kickstart their training journey. Classes are held on Saturdays at Beacon Barkers Pet Centre in Stourbridge.

Our comprehensive puppy class will give you and your pup the chance to practise your skills, with a trainer on hand to assist. We'll cover:

  • How to build your pup's focus on you around other dogs and people

  • Proofing essential cues like sit, down, stay, etc in distracting environments

  • Loose lead walking

  • Growing your puppy's emotional intelligence and teaching them good manners and impulse control around other dogs and people

  • How to safely manage interactions with other puppies and adult dogs.

  • Recall in all environments

  • Handling for grooming, vet inspections etc

  • How to teach your pup to settle in busy environments like pub gardens, school sports days and picnics at the park

We're currently taking on new puppies and owners on for an 8 week class starting April 6th and a 6 week class starting on 20th April. If you would like to join our waiting list please contact us using the button below.

Do I need classes or 1-2-1 training?

We recommend a mix classes and 121 training to give your pup the best possible start in life. At your 121 sessions you’ll work closely with your trainer to create a bespoke training plan for your pup and tackle any behavioural issues as they emerge. There are also some behaviours that can’t be taught in class, like toilet training, crate training, managing chewing and puppy biting, and when it comes to training it’s always best to start at home, in a distraction free environment.

Our group classes are a cost effective way to

  • To proof skills learned in a 121 session in more distracting environments, so your adult dog will respond to your cues no matter where you are

  • To interact with other puppies and adult dogs in a controlled environment, helping your pup learn the emotional intelligence and social skills they need.

  • Meet other pups and owners in your local area so your dog has life-long friends
